CRASSED = CROSSED + PASSED
My daughter was watching television. A local newscaster was preparing to give an update on the Olympics and said:
"Thanks for joining us tonight on this special news break. It's just crassed midnight..."
She said he quickly corrected himself but it's always fun to see their reaction when a Scrabulary word 'crasses' their lips.

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 02/24/18 "SQUIGGLING"
SQUIGGLING = SQUIRMING + WIGGLING
Each Friday my daughter volunteers in my grandson's s elementary school library. She was very proud of his behavior one particular day and said:
"He comes into the library, sits up straight in his chair without squiggling, ready for the reading assignment."
Very proud of my grandson and very proud of my daughter,

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 02/16/18 "YURTRU"
YURTRU = YOU'RE RIGHT + THAT'S TRUE
On this day to celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Dog, today's Scrabulary word came about when Beetie and I were having a dinner of Chinese food with my daughter, son-in-law and grandson. We each had opened our fortune cookies and read the fortunes. We also turned over the little piece of paper which gives numbers that might bring someone luck in a state lottery, for example. They call this the second fortune. My son-in-law said:
May this Chinese New Year of the Dog bring you good fortune,

"It provides one fortune and then gives you a second opportunity at good fortune." I replied: "Yurtru!"
