Scrabulary Word of the Day - 12-12-16 "HOWDADOOD'N"

HOWDADOOD'N = HOWDY DOODY + HOW YA DO'IN

The building in which I work has a very long hallway that employees use to get to each department. This hallway can be awkward when at one end an employee is walking toward me while I am walking toward him or her.  I cannot say hello at this point without yelling; so, the long awkward walk toward each another continues sometimes averting my eyes, thinking "am I going to just say Hi! or Hi! How are you?" until I get close enough to exchange pleasantries and continue on my way.  It was during one of these awkward traverses that I finally got close enough to say hello to the fellow employee and said:

"Howdadood'n!"

Did I mention awkward??

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 01-17-16 "SHLEANS"

SHLEANS = SHOWS + CLEANS

Swuvie had put some stones in a tumbler for about a week.  She showed me the way they looked before going into the tumbler and how beautiful they turned out.  I was delighted to see the vivid detail in one stone in particular and said:

"I'm really amazed to see how bright it shleans up."

Nature's beauty revealed,

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 01-10-16 "WATTLE BOTTERS"

WATTLE BOTTERS = WATER BOTTLES

Needed to take some bottled water to work.  I loaded the tote I take to work each day with my wallet and Kindle, added the water bottles, strained to pick up the bag to take it to the car and said:

"Whoa!  This is too heavy.  I've gotta take out some of these wattle botters."

Just take a couple each day,

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 01-09-16 "FEYES"

FEYES = FACE + EYES

I asked Swunnie if he wanted to go to the park.  He enthusiastically said "YES!".  He quickly ran and put on his boots, coat and favorite hat.  We walked to the park.  I put him in a seat swing. While he was swinging, his hat tilted forward, he tried looking up at me and I said:

"Oops!  Your hat has fallen over your feyes."

A quick adjustment and the fun continued!
