Scrabulary Word of the Day- 06-26-16 "SHUN"

SHUN = SUN + SUNSHINE

Betina contributed today's Scrabulary word as a result of the "instant" summer we have experienced here in Colorado.  It seems temperatures went from cold to HOT in a day.  Living at 6000+ feet above sea level, we need to take precautions to avoid over exposure to the sun's rays.  Being vigilant regarding time in the hot sun, she said:

"Need to stay out of the shun!"

Take care out there!

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 06-25-16 "SWAVES"

SWAVES = SWIRLS + WAVES

I was attending the Renaissance Festival in Larkspur Colorado with my family.  My grandson noticed his shoes left a honeycomb imprint in the dirt so we all put our prints in the dirt for design examination.  I commented on each print and when it came to my son-in-law's print I said:

"And daddy's shoes make swaves."

I'm always fascinated by what attracts my grandson's attention.

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 06-13-16 "SUPERBOLE"

SUPERBOLE = SUPER + HYPERBOLE

My co-worker, Jess, loves to have fun with words.  Here's a Scrabulary word she passed along. An employee asked:  "How are you?"  She replied:

"I am superbole!"

Now that's super duper super!

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 06-12-16 "MORDER"

MORDER = ORDER + MORE

My friend, Betina, quickly wrote today's word on her hand until she could get to her cell phone to text it to me-lol!  While wearing one of the many hats this ambitious woman wears as mom, wife, community volunteer, career woman and more, she said:

"I'll morder boxes."

Great word!  Thanks so much, Betina!!

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 06/04/16 "GAANG"

GAANG = GADS + DANG

Colorado Springs is notorious for potholes on major thoroughfares. We were in our car navigating one such thoroughfare and Beetie was driving.  He had swerved to miss one pothole, swerved to miss another only to have to swerve again and narrowly miss another. Frustrated, he said:

"Gaang!  This road is a mess!"

Thankfully his skillful driving kept us out of the potholes.

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 06-03-16 "WAMPIRE"

WAMPIRES = WEREWOLVES + VAMPIRES

Swuvie and Beetie were discussing their favorite movies and television shows.  Swuvie shared a title and Beetie said:

"Mm-wampires are not my cup of tea."

Hmmm - I wonder which television show or movie she was talking about.
