Scrabulary Word of the Day - 03-22-15

HAFFLE = HALF + DOUBLE

Swuvie was patiently instructing me on how to crochet in the round.  At one point she said:

"Next, you will be doing a haffle crochet stitch."

Success! Swuvie is an excellent instructor!

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 03-21-15 "STIRMLY"

STIRMLY = STERNLY + FIRMLY

My sweet 2 1/2-year-old grandson is learning that he can't always have his way.  My daughter said:

"If you speak stirmly, he will pay attention."

He has a tender little heart,

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 03-20-15 "WONKERS"

WONKERS = WONKY + BONKERS

Beetie was working on cleaning up a computer.  He sat back in his chair, scratched his head and said:

"There's something wonkers about that file."

Computers--Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em,

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 03-07-15 "BINZARRE"

BINZARRE = BEEN + BIZARRE

I'm not sure if it was because of a full moon or crazy weather but a few days last week were kind of wild and crazy where people were concerned.  I said to a co-worker:

"Today's binzarre for sure!"

A little "wild and crazy" can keep the "watch out" radar rotating,

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 03-01-15 "BORANGE"

BORANGE = BROWN + ORANGE

My grandson, Swunnie, was telling his momma the colors of some pencils and he excitedly said:

"The pencils are brown and orange.  Orange pencil and the brown pencil and the borange pencil!"

Such excitement learning new things!
