Scrabulary Word of the Day - 9-19-14 "BO"

BO = BE + GO

I am the receptionist/cashier at my place of employment.  Every so often, a co-worker will ask me for change for a $5, $10 or $20.  On one such occasion, after counting the change back to him, I said:

"There ya bo."

Well, there ya bo!

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 9-14-14 "SCOUPING"

SCOUPING = SCOUTING + SCOPING

Weekend ritual combined with treasure hunting:

"While taking my six-mile walk, I will be scouping out the neighborhood for garage sales."

One man's trash....

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 9-13-14 "CHRAWER"

CHRAWER = CHANGE + DRAWER

Because I am the receptionist/cashier at my workplace, my co-worker sits at my desk during my lunchtime.  She brings her cash/change drawer for taking payments instead of using mine. When I returned from lunch, she went to return to her desk and I noticed her hands were empty so I said:

"Do you want to take your chrawer?"

Oops--brain fart,

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 9-12-14 "CLARIFY THAT UP"

CLARIFY THAT UP = CLARIFY THAT + CLEAR THAT UP

I was speaking with a caller who didn't know if we had received her payment because she wasn't sure how to make an online payment using the website and I said:

"I will transfer you to someone who can clarify that up for you."

Easy peasy lemon squeezy,
