Scrabulary Word of the Day - 6-22-14 "LOTCH"

LOTCH = LOOK + WATCH

Swuvie was trying to focus her 23-month-old son's attention on an airplane coming into view overhead.  She held him and pointed to the sky and said:

"Swunny, look, look, lotch."

Swunny looooooves airplanes,

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 6-21-14 "DELICATION"

DELICATION = DELICATE + APPLICATION

I was having Swuvie apply some much needed color to my hair to tone down those gray "highlights" and asked her if she could zero in on the gray streaks first and she said:

"With a handful of foam, I can't exactly make a delication."

Okay, just smoosh it on there,

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 6-20-14 "PARFED"

PARFED = PUKED + BARFED

Swuvie's family pet is a beautiful blue pit bull.  Sometimes he gets an upset tummy.  The other day Dubby came in from the backyard and said:

"Neptune parfed on the sidewalk."

Sweet puppy,

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 6-18-14 "KNITTLE IT"

KNITTLE IT = LITTLE + KNIT

Swuvie and her hubby were at ComiCon this past weekend.  They sat in to listen to one of the many discussion panels.  She sent a text while waiting for the discussion to start and her text read [referencing "Firefly"]:  "You should see all the Jayne hats in the audience."  I read the text to my husband and he asked me what she meant.  I said:

"She's referencing a character in Firefly called Jayne.  He always wore a knittle it beanie."

Swuvie had knitted a beanie for her husband.

Lots of fun!

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 6/16/14 "AWAY" (A New Take)

AWAY = APPROACH + WAY

Cap'n Denny finds himself slipping into his second language Scrabulary style.

He messaged me saying:

"Just caught myself saying: 'We need to come up with a hybrid away to solve a problem.'"

Thanks for sending along another example of your Scrabulary skills, Cap'n!

Scrabulary Word of the Day - 6-1-14 "HANGLIN"

HANGLIN = HANGING + DANGL'N

Because I am always looking for my keys, sunglasses, wallet, etc. I said:

"I'm gonna have to put stuff on a string and just have it hanglin off of me."

Oh there's what I was looking for!!
