HIND = HIDE + BEHIND
Swuvie's cat, Tati, likes to jump up on the kitchen counter and sample foods that are left on the counter or stove while we eat a meal. So every time we sit down to dinner and a movie we track down Tati and put her in her crate. Now tracking her down has been a challenge at times. Seems she knows that the smell of food cooking means we will be hot on her trail at any minute. She finds very strategic places to hide, too; always juuuust out of reach. The other evening she scooted behind the couch thinking she was in a safe place only to have Donut reach in and grab her by the nape of the neck. As he pulls her out with a look of "how'd he do that" on her face, I said "So you thought you could hind the couch, huh? Silly kitty."

Scrabulary Word of the Day 5-22
ORF = OUT + OFF
Let me take that orf before you wash it.
I'm not sure where the "r" comes from. I think I must have tried to self-correct in my mind as the word rolled off my tongue. Thinking "Let me take that out [or] off before you wash it." Thus the "r" comes into play. I'm either thinking too quickly as I speak or speaking too slowly as I think--I think.
Maybe thinking too much? {:]
